The 2010 Mitsubishi Galant

Whether helping drivers avoid accidents or survive one should it occur, engineers of the 2010 Mitsubishi Galant have focused on safety as a priority.

Realizing the best safety feature is one that avoids a crash in the first place, designers included the Active Stability Control system to maintain proper control and handling during extreme conditions. The system uses sensors to monitor speed and steering input and uses the data to apply braking pressure to wheels that are slipping or to cut down on the engine throttle if necessary.

The anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution aids in preventing brake lockup when a driver panics and hits the brakes too hard. This also allows the driver to maintain better control.

Still, there are times when a collision cannot be avoided. Galant engineers have included several features that protect the driver and passengers in the event of a crash.

The sedan's chassis has been built using a rigid unibody design with floor crossmembers, side impact door beams and front and rear crumple zones which provide extra protection during a collision by absorbing and displacing some of the energy created by the crash.

Another safety feature of the 2010 Mitsubishi Galant is the placement of driver and passenger side-impact air bags and front and rear side-curtain air bags. In addition, an advanced dual-stage front airbag uses sensors to evaluate pre-crash conditions and deploy the airbag to appropriately protect the driver and front passenger.

Even the installation of child safety seats is easier with the Galant's improved anchors and tethers system.

The 2010 Mitsubishi Galant has been designed to keep travelers safe while driving for years to come.

About the 2009 Honda Fit

Not many cars have stand out over the years and lots of reviewers chose the newly designed 2009 model of Honda Fit, which is a subcompact five-door hatchback। Regardless of its small size, auto writers are quite impressed of the Honda Fit's versatile cargo area and interior room। With the use of pulling a lever to open up a 57।3 cubic feet of load space while the seats on the rear fold flat. A number of storage compartments are considerately positioned right through the cabin and it also includes ten-cup holders. The Honda Fit seats are elevated for a more comfortable seating position where you get a better view from the outside. A few liked the longer front-seat cushions and the height adjustment, though. Standard safety equipment is also included in the car with the front-seat active ABS and head restraints and also the six airbags. The electronic stability control is just an option on the Sport model of Honda Fit with the navigation system package, which automatically adds a cost to the price of the sticker in comparison to the usual Honda Fit Sport. The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety names the 2009 Honda Fit one of the safest pick.

The Honda Fit 2009 model features a four-cylinder, 1।5-liter, 117-horsepower engine -- somewhat more powerful than the 2008 version। An automatic five-speed is just optional, while a manual five-speed gearbox is standard -- a benefit over the majority of small cars' automatic four-speed transmissions. While a lot of economy cars are said to be boring to drive, reviewers are quite amazed of the Honda Fit, they stated that the satisfactorily balanced car handles itself well, with receptive steering and a keen engine. It doesn't mean that it has excess power; lots of writers of cars talk about its lukewarm acceleration, particularly with the automatic transmission. Alternatively, the Honda Fit has a soft running four-cylinder, which is very competent, with ratings from EPA of 33-35 mpg in the highway and 27-28 mpg in the city. Drivers has tested this and reported a real-world mileage on goal with the estimates of the EPA. A few of the cons seen by reviewer on this model is that the ride can be tough over bumpy roads and a lot of disturbing engine and road noise can be heard inside the car.

The Fit though is not as reasonably priced as a lot of of its competitors, for example, the 2009 Nissan Versa, which is roomier or the 2009 Scion XD, which is more powerful. Amongst the group though, the Fit is considered the best one there is. It also holds its value much better than the other cars in comparison.
