The new 2010 Hummer H3

The 2010 Hummer H3 is a compact SUV designed with a 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder engine to get an output of about 239-horsepower with the help of a five-speed manual transmission. It has a four-wheel drive mechanism and hill-start assist, while the 4-speed automatic transmission is optional. It is a massive SUV that has approximately 2.5 tons of curb weight. In road tests of the 2010 H3, nobody was impressed with the fact that the mammoth could somehow accelerate up to 60 miles per hour in 11 seconds from a pit stop.

Luckily, it is also available with Alpha edition of the H3 that supports a 5.3-liter V8 engine to the generation of about 300-hp, and provide more decent performance. The 2010 H3 attains the speed of 60 mph in 8.8 seconds, with the help of V8 engine. The 60/40-split back seat can be folded to enhance the cargo space, even though the maximum capacity of the vehicle is of 56 cubic feet is lower than that of a lot of medium sized and compact SUVs. Exterior visibility is pretty weak with the tailgate-mounted additional tire and gun-slit-style windows.

Choosing the new H3 is quite straightforward, since there are only two options namely Alpha and base trim. The highlights of 2010 Hummer H3 are dual-zone air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, a six-speaker CD stereo, power windows and cruise control locks and mirrors; these are available on the base version of H3. Apart from the aforesaid features, leather upholstery, off-road package, power-heated and adjustable front seats, MP3-compatible stereo and side curtain airbags are optional. The Alpha trim includes the V8 engine along with the upgraded audio, leather seating, chrome trim and heated seats, as well as alloy wheels, and is preferable in terms of power and standard offerings.
